ACNE STUDIOS EXPERIENTIAL
RETAIL SPACE by Creative Agency 29


For this brief, my team and I worked together as a creative agency to conceptualise and develop an immersive experiential space for forward-thinking brand Acne Studios, exploring the topic of innovation. The big idea explored was ‘The human experience must be the driving force behind every element of a space-from the design of physical space to the qualities of interaction, expectation and intention.We were also allocated creative stimuli to influence our final outcomes, ours being artist Ai Weiwei and the landmark The Great Wall Of China. 


With that in mind, we developed 3 concepts, one of which I developed called ‘distorted reality’. The outcome for this brief took the format of a submerssive interactive in-store VR experience, focusing around the idea of a journey that challenges the consumers existing perspectives and perceptions within day to day life.


The outcome takes form of an all-white art like exhibit which would then go on to change format once viewed with the VR headsets provided within the experience. The event would also see consumers all leave with a ‘souvenir’ goodie bag of the event featuring exclusive discount codes, exclusive brand stickers, etc.The overall aim is to ensure the consumer has experienced escapism as an individual experience, creating an everlasting memory of the brand through personal connection.
